November 6, 2006 - From 6 to 8 pm, at the Lauderdale Farmers Coop in Elgin Crossroads, AL (154 Elgin Dr); just off Hwy. 101. November 11, 2006 – From 10 am to 2 pm at the Lauderdale Cooperative Extension Building in Florence, AL (802 Veterans Dr; located next to the Coliseum. Topics include parasite management and forage management; demonstrations include parasite identification, hoof trimming, and pregnancy determination. Topics will address parasite identification and management, and budgets for goat production. Regional Workshops on parasite identification and management. – Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) is planning a series of workshops (8-10) that will take place at numerous locations throughout Alabama. These will be all day workshops addressing parasite identification, fecal-egg exam training, FAMACHA training, and parasite control and management. ACES is tentatively planning to work with Resources Conservation & Development (RC&D) to coordinate and accommodate these workshops.
