This page is designed to detail some of the services listed on the price list of the cost page. At the bottom, I have my recommendations for someone getting their very first web site.

Web hosting

Getting a domain name will cost $35.

For hosting, you have 3 options:

1. We will share our hosting, but you will have no control over making any changes yourself. This will cost you a little more than $7 per month (paid upfront as $84.99 yearly fee). For this fee, we will also set up 5 e-mail accounts for you with your domain name in the address (mine is motes@motesclearcreekfarms.com).
2. We can refer you to the service we use, and you can make changes over your site when you want. This will include a one time $50 setup fee, and $149.99 for a 12 month contract.
3. Do some research and find a host that has the amount of storage space you require. If you do this, there may be some limitations to the amount and type of service we can provide.

Page Prices

All of these prices assume that you are going to use one of our templates. For major modifications to the template, an additional pricing structure will be developed. Minor changes are negotiable at these prices.

For the 5 page goat special, you will receive Home (index), for sale, does, bucks and contact pages. Below I have included descriptions (with links to our pages, which serve as the examples)

The index page which will include the following:

1. Banner
2. Navigation bar
3. 3 Pictures with captions and links
4. Text (text is always unlimited - within reason - assuming you write it; If you want us to write it, a fee can be arranged)

The for sale page will include the following:

1. Banner
2. Navigation Bar
3. Up to 5 goats for sale (additional goats at the additional picture fee)
4. Captions with goat names
5. Prices
6. Links where appropriate
7. Any additional text as submitted

The Bucks and Does pages will include the following:

1. Banner
2. Navigation Bar
3. 3 Goats (additional at picture fee)
4. Captions
5. Additional text

The contact page will include the following:

1. Banner
2. Navigation Bar
3. Any specific contact information you want to provide (phone numbers, fax, addresses, e-mail, etc.). We can also include this contact information on your template
4. A form, if requested. The response from the form can be sent to 2 different e-mail addresses. Fill out our form to show you are interested (and to see an example of a form). This form will ask for name, e-mail address and comments. Any additional information will be incur an additional fee, depending on the nature of the request.

Bottom line, for $99, you will have 5 pages, a navigation bar, 14 pictures, and appropriate banners to announce the page. You will not find this price anywhere else on the web for this level of customization.

For the 10 additional page offer we will provide basic pages which give room to provide more details of any of your goats. Primarily, this provides additional means to showcase your goats for sale by giving additional images of those goats, as well as the goats within their pedigree. We have many examples on our site. An example is Venus or Enhancer.

These pages include:

Any additional goat pages required in the future (or if you don't want to go with the 10 pages at the price listed) will be $8.99. For that price, you will receive those things listed above.

Bottom line, for $49 you will add an additional 10 pages, and 20 pictures. This will bring your site to a respectable 15 pages and 34 pictures for only $148 in design fees.

Note: This does not include any pages that would require a change to the template (for instance adding a button the menu of every page).

Options / Extras

For pictures, we are not going to charge nearly as much as most other sites we have seen. If you have digital pictures, we will crop them, re-color them (if necessary), and size them for the web for only $1.99 each. If you don't have digital pictures, we will include a $2.99 surcharge per picture. The $1.99 fee is not required for the 5 page and 10 page offers above, but the surcharge will be (if you don't have digital pictures). If you want your pictures framed (digitally), we can do that for only $0.99 per picture. For some ideas of framing, please check out our art page. There are many variations of these frames we can do. Additional extras/options

1. Guestbook; Example (After you sign it, you can view the results).
2. Hit Count -- 3 types of hit count. One which just writes to a file you can look at and see how many people have visited your page. One will provide you with a visual record on the page, just using text. The final one will have image numbers that will change each time someone visits your page.
3. A Logo will cost $30. Example
4. A page with a map and directions to your farm; Example
5. A page which you can have links to other sites; Example
6. A Chat Page with chat service for up to 30 people
7. A pedigree image which you can put onto any of your goat pages. For an example, click here.
8. A monthly report of your site activity sent in a spreadsheet. This will include data about how many hits your site has had, how people are finding your site, and a bunch of other data.
9. Pop up pages. Click here to get to our "Our Place" page. Scroll down to the corn crib picture and click on it.
10. We can also do a logo for you with using one of your goats in a drawing. Prices on can be discussed based on the level of detail. Click here to see our drawing's page.

Maintenance

In option one, you send us the changes you want made, and we will post changes twice a month. For $24.99 a month, we will allow you to change/add whatever text you want, add 10 pictures to your site, and the option of adding 2 new goat pages. Additionally, we will throw in the monthly site report for free.

If you go with this option, in 6 months, your site could grow to 27 pages, and you could have nearly 100 pictures on your site.

In option two, you just pay the fees for adding pictures and pages as you use them. For example, to add 2 pages (with 2 images each) and 10 pictures, it would cost you $8.99 each for the pages and $1.99 each for the pictures, or $37.88. In this option, the site report would be extra.

A third method is if you just have one page you will want changed monthly. The best example of this is a for sale page. For $9.99 a month, we will change up to 12 pictures (with appropriate text) on a single page. We will do this up to two times in a single month (normally Sundays).
